Lonnie “Dee” Niver is a Davison, Michigan resident. He is a self-taught artist. Dee began his creative journey at the age of five. He was inspired by “How to Draw” books. He holds an Associate Degree in Drafting Technology and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Arts and Communications. Dee has over 35 years of experience in digital art. He is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator. Dee also uses Procreate for designing and creating stencils for airbrushing. He has also crafted walkthrough animations using 3D Studio Max and AutoCAD.

Dee’s artistic repertoire is diverse, with a primary focus on charcoal realism. Now, he is honing his skills in airbrush techniques, a long-held interest that has recently become accessible. Dee faced challenges during the 2023 and 2024 seasons due to back surgery and recovery. He is now dedicated to advancing his airbrushing abilities. His work predominantly features floral and animal themes. He is eager to explore new subjects as he grows in this medium.

Dee has engaged in personal art projects. He has also created marketing advertisements for a plastic company. His work has appeared in publications like Garden Center Magazine, Convenience Store News, and CSP Daily News.
